Welcome to my new site Fork Knife and Spoon!

A few people asked me WHY after two plus years of blogging at imagespetites I decided to move everything.  The biggest reason is that it was a pain in the ass trying to tell people about where to find my blog.  Let's remember that I'm already considered pretentious my some; having a French blog name and trying to pronounce it either correctly by French standards or anglicanized really led to a few ridiculous moments in my life.  This definitely solves that problem. What's that?  You need to update your RSS feed?

Other reasons to change things up involve wanting my own domain name and the fact that in the past two years my focus on this blog has moved from my life, to my food. I can admit that food is my life, no matter how nerdy, pompous or irritating it is. When it boils down to it, food tops my priority list.  When I started Les Petites Images it was really photography focused with food often being the subject matter I resorted to. Clearly photography is still a prominent part of this blog but now I've just paired the two into one nice symbiotic relationship. There will occasionally be non-food related pictures and posts.  Sometimes I just get on my soapbox.  I just can't help it.

This is my second major internet change I've experienced in two weeks and to celebrate my hard work  (I am crazy and, with the help of a fantastic publishing service, design my own web sites) I have a month of fun planned for you all.  In addition to being revitalized and excited to post on my shiny new blog, I will be having TWO give aways a WEEK! And this is good stuff people, the kind of stuff that makes me say "oh who cares about a dumb blog" and run into the corner to decide which awesome prize I will use first.  But December is also the month that we should really remember to be thankful for all we have and give back where we can and not eat prizes intended for other people.  What better way to give back to all of you, my awesome readers, than giving you the gift of good food?!

Trying to keep it interesting for everyone, I have broken it up into local (Minnesota) and national giveaways.  There will be some overlap between the two and there is definitely something for everyone.

So without further ado:

CurryUp! has so graciously decided to offer one of my lucky readers a complete dinner for two at their Maple Grove location.  Dinner will include:

Any 1 Appetizer
Any 2 Lassis or Soda
Any 2 Entrees
Plain or Garlic Naan Bread and rice

CurryUp! is the perfect place to swing by after working up an appetite while Christmas shopping in the Shoppes of Arbor Lakes (Nordstrom's Rack!) or the numerous strip malls in the area.  I worked at Trader Joe's in the area for almost three years and consistently went back to CurryUp for my meals when I headed out of the store.  They also have an amazing grocery store you walk through to get to the restaurant tucked into the back.  A perfect opportunity to stock up on that ghee for the next time you make Palak Paneer (which will DEFINITELY be soon after you go to CurryUp! as you'll obviously be inspired to recreate Chef Raj's delights at home). Don't just take my word for it, according to his twitter feed WCCO's own Jason DeRusha's son dug their goat!  And don't forget to check out their website and follow them on twitter @curryup

The rules: Comment below to enter.  (Side note: I truly believe random number generators appreciate creative comments!)  Comments will close on Friday December 4th at 4pm CST.  If you blog, tweet or facebook about this give away you MUST repost a link to your shout out on this blog.  If you do all three, three separate comments.  Got it?  Now, let the games begin!

I'm excited for you and this new site! Love the header. Fun stuff! Considering I don't get out to Maple Grove like ever, visiting Curry Up sounds like the perfect excuse, so count me in.

Fork, Knife, and Spoon is so simple. I can't believe it wasn't taken already. Good luck. And I agree with Crystal - Curry Up is definitely a reason for us to leave our fine South Mpls neighborhood restaurants.

I haven't really wanted indian since being pregnant, but if it were free I'd give it a whirl. Or maybe just wait a few months to go.

I'd drive to Maple Grove for this. I spotted you at the Master Cheesemaker's reading. It was nice to put a face to the blog.
